The Living Atlas of real-world memories

Every place has a story.
What's yours?

Memory Lane is a shared visual history of the real world. Leave a photo, short video, or message where life happened, choose who can see it, and rediscover it when you return.

Map the stories around you

Move through a place.
Move through its history.

Open the Memory Map to find privacy-safe story hotspots. Point the in-app camera at a scene and use Time Machine to explore authorized memories from that view across hours, days, or years.

01 · Memory Map

See where stories gather.

Generalized hotspots help you discover meaningful places without revealing a person's precise trail.

02 · Time Machine

Look back from where you stand.

Location, camera direction, capture time, audience, release date, and—when reliable—height help match a memory to the real scene.

03 · Navigate a Memory Lane

Follow a route through history.

Visit a sequence of nearby places and unlock each story only when you arrive.

Truthful by design. Time Machine organizes real memories people recorded. It never claims to recreate events that were not captured.

A sunlit road representing the place that inspired Memory LaneEvery place has a story. What's yours?

The founder's story

A familiar road sparked a new way to remember.

Gohar Alam, Founder

Years after leaving an old Northern Virginia neighborhood, one unexpected turn brought back stories of friends, games, and moments that had nearly been lost. That experience inspired a simple question: what if memories could return exactly where they happened?

Memory Lane grew from that idea into a place for location-based stories, private family memories, messages for the future, new connections, and local businesses worth discovering.

“Every place has a story. What's yours?”
Our missionHelp every generation preserve the stories connected to the places that shaped them.

Memory Lane brings people, places, and meaningful moments back together at the right location and the right time—with privacy choices in each member's hands.

Memory Lane newsroom

A new way to share the stories around us.

Founder notes and product announcements from Memory Lane. These are our own updates—not independent press coverage or customer testimonials.

Founder update

A new kind of social network is taking shape.

Memory Lane is building a place-first social experience where photos, videos, people, and future messages become meaningful again when you reach the place connected to them.

Product idea

The new way to say hello: leave a memory.

Instead of another endless feed, a Memory Lane story belongs somewhere. People discover it through place, audience, and time.

Our invitation

Every place has a story. Leave yours.

Family moments, neighborhood history, messages for the future, and local discoveries all deserve a place where they can be found again.
